Our community Pātaka Kai has been restocked and is ready for you. We invite everyone to come and take what you need to help feed your family.
This initiative is built on a simple philosophy: take only what you need and leave what you can. By doing so, we ensure that there’s always something for the next person and that our shared basket of resources stays full. It’s a beautiful way of keeping the aroha, or love, flowing within our community.
We are guided by the whakataukī (proverb): “Nā tō rourou, nā taku rourou, ka ora ai te iwi.” With your food basket and my food basket, the people will thrive. This is a powerful reminder that by working together and sharing what we have, we all benefit.
