Grow Te Puke has always been about the “how-to” of local growing. We’ve spent years getting our hands in the soil right here in the kiwifruit capital, but now, as a part of the Vector Group family, we’re scaling that knowledge for all of Aotearoa. We know that many people want to grow their own food but feel overwhelmed by where to start. Do you plant fruit trees in rows? Where do the herbs go? This planner changes the game. It uses Food Forest principles to show you how to stack your plants—utilizing vertical space so you can grow fruit trees, medicinal herbs, and seasonal vegetables all in the same footprint.
By following a Syntropic approach, you learn how to plant “pioneer” species that do the hard work of fertilizing the soil for you. It’s about working with nature’s rhythm rather than fighting against it. Let’s turn our backyards into productive jungles that feed our whānau and our neighbors.
